ಆದರೆ ಇದರಿಂದ ಸೋಂಕು ಹರಡಬಹುದೇ ಎಂಬುದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಯುಎಸ್ ರೋಗ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಸೆಂಟರ್ಸ್ ಫಾರ್ ಡಿಸೀಸ್ ಕಂಟ್ರೋಲ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಪ್ರಿವೆನ್ಷನ್ (ಸಿಡಿಸಿ) ವರದಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆ.

ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದು, ಅಧ್ಯಯನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಂಕಿಪಾಕ್ಸ್ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ರೋಗಿಗಳು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಬಾರಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ತೊಳೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಯಮಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅದಾಗ್ಯೂ ಅವರ ಮನೆಯ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಸೋಂಕು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
